Graphic organisers
By using a fish organiser, we can visually show the key rules that Buzan suggests to follow in order for our brains to gain the most satisfaction, and by following these rules, we are able to maximise the amount of information that our brain stores on the subject, and will be better able to remember the content.
By using a STAR we are able to visually show our classrooms the five key questions of Who, What, When, Where, and Why. By visually showing this to the students, they are easily able to identify the key reasons that we are using the Buzan mind mapping technique, and the star creates a very cool visual display that we can put in our sharing space on the wall.
This visual organiser uses the mind mapping techniques, and presents them in two unique ways. The first way that this demonstrates the techniques of Buzan is that is visually shows the techniques in use in the mind map, as this mind map has been created using all techniques. The creator has used colour, thick and thin lines, size difference, and has only used key words on their lines. The creator has also used pictures and images where relevant. None of the lines are straight, and this leads to the image being visually stimulating to the brain.
The second way this shows the rules of the Buzan technique is the mind map is about the rules of the technique. The words are all about the structure, colours, lines and images, and words that are needed to make a successful mind map.
We would recommend displaying this organiser in our classrooms to assist the children with their mind mapping tasks.

Key questions
Key questions that we can ask the children to get them engaged in the learning is to begin by asking them how they would like to plan for an outing that they are going to be going on.
How would you show everybody else what you have planned, and how you have organised the information?
The children are not yet studying for big tests, but this technique will still benefit them as they are able to use this technique to develop and record ideas.
